Episode 09: Making Money with a Lean Business

The other day I was watching this documentary on Netflix that talks about minimalism. The name of the documentary is Minimalism: Less is Now.

Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus are the two film-makers who show how are victims of a consumerist culture where

everything is at the click of a button and we don’t even think while buying —- unconscious buying.

As a result there is just too much of everything in the house. It’s flooded !

Anytime does that happen, it is because of not processing our emotions. Why Do I talk so much about trauma informed coaching is because trauma shapes the way we think.

We cannot have clarity of thoughts – we are constantly bombarded by everything that’s around us — be hot on Facebook or Instagram. We feel seduced by things like food on zomato

Trauma response - Getting up to buy a burger on zomato or Going eShopping:

  1. A dress.
  2. A new phone
  3. A New computer.
  4. A new set of cutlery
  5. A new bag
  6. Even new books.
  7. I even know people who hoard stationers and keep them with them

These are all trauma responses.

We don’t realise the impact we are having on the planet by consuming and producing so much of waste.

We go to the three

  1. Anything that gives instant gratification
  2. Anything that leaves waste
  3. Anything that is hoarded.

Now how does that relate to selling?

  1. We feel we need to make a lot of offers…MULITPLE OFFERS
  2. We need to give a Lot in our services and healings
  3. For eg, if I am taking 15K I have to get journaling, therapy, coaching. Already overwhelmmed!
  4. We have to collect a lot of degrees.
  5. We have to use many techniques
  6. Simple things don’t work. Because that is not deep healing.

When it comes to my own coaching business, I completely believe in the lean minimalist model of selling

  1. I have a lean model
  2. I sell just one program
  3. It is simple because its components are simple
  4. 5 Modules – thoughts, social media, body business, energy, sales.
  5. People can have clarity about what I am offering
  6. Because once again my offer is lean and structured.
  7. It doesn’t go to several places.
  8. It simply says that if you are a coach, healer, therapist – this is the place where you make money
  9. I don’t even give too much information in my website – because people feel heavy in their head.
  10. It’s at a single price of INR 2.5L
  11. It’s clear that it’s going to be for a lifetime.
  12. That we meet coaching for a lifetime every week
  13. Such a lean model always helps you to grow better instead of focusing on multiple things
  14. Focus on multiple things comes from unprocessed thoughts about the multiple things in your head which doesn’t allow you to have a streamlined thought process.

Episode 85: Why Aren’t You Ready for a Group Program (yet)

In today’s deeply reflective and transformative episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on the seductive myth of scaling too soon. So many coaches are obsessed with launching group programs—chasing numbers, applause, and the illusion of freedom. But scaling doesn’t save you. It amplifies everything you haven’t healed. If you’re wondering why your group program dreams aren’t taking off—or why they

Episode 84: When you have nothing left but yourself

In this deeply personal and transformative episode, Dr. Gaurav Deka unpacks a truth most coaches overlook: the journey to becoming fully booked starts when you have nothing left but yourself. This is not a conversation about strategies or tactics. It is an intimate exploration of identity, resilience, and the art of claiming your place in the world.
