Episode 26: When we rob clients of their agency

I know this title feels a little intense and personal, but trust me, it’s really well intended. Because in this episode I talk about selling and our intentions around it, as well as how our clients feel when we don’t let them decide what is good for them. Often times, while in a consultation call or a discovery call, we freeze, shut down and numb out while quoting our price (and package). This is sensed by the client. Simply because up until now, the client’s nervous system was co-regulating with our nervous system. They not only had a sense of our energy, but also were leaning on our stable groundedness for their own safety. And when we go into these sympathetic responses, we not only exit our bodies but also make our clients feel unsafe. This is a huge part of the selling process that often goes unnoticed and unaddressed. In this episode, I bring to light why somatic work and nervous system guidance is necessary for you to successfully sell your coaching, as well as the secret to letting your clients buy your work with full agency.
