We often confuse these two: Coaching Skills and Business Skills. Many of us wonder, being a good coach, having a certification, knowing multiple modalities is enough to have a flourishing, sustainable business. We assume, clients will keep appearing and coming to us by themselves and we simply have to get better and better at our coaching skills.
Some of us think of the opposite. We think, that the reason behind having no clients, no money and no business is: “I am not good enough as a coach.” Or say, “I need to heal my money traumas.” Or “I have abundance blocks.” Or “I don't have a certification.” Or “I just need to learn a few more advanced modalities.” And some variation of the same.
And I tell all my folks why this is so not true. Coaching skills and business skills are two different things. They are two distinct skill sets. And while it's imperative to have good coaching skills in order to bring value, offer transformation and impact your clients at a profound level, it is equally imperative to have exceptional business skills in order to have real cash hitting your bank account. And sustainably so.
