I still remember making my first lakh. I was dating my current partner, and we were walking through the circles of Connaught Place. He’d asked me, how much money do I make and said, something like INR 50-60k a month. And at the back of my mind wondering, “the day I start making a lakh, I will get a house close to his college and we will stay together.” And the day it happened (in like 2-3 months), I cannot tell you the kind of joy and ecstasy I felt. I will never forget that feeling.
