
One of the commonest reasons that goes un-enquired, because of which we don’t end up making money is — because we do not EXAMINE OUR OFFERS. By examining our offers, I mean we don’t SIMPLIFY them.
For example, some of the common unexamined thought lines are:
- I have to make multiple kinds of offers. (driven by the energy of if I make multiple offers, at least people will buy).
- My offer needs to have a lot of content (driven by the energy of if I give a lot, people will buy).
- My offer can’t be simple. (Driven by the thought: Because if it is, then the client would just go to anyone, why come to me?)
- I need to change my niche in order for my offer to sell (No, you need to make the same offer to multiple people).
- No one wants to buy my offer, people don’t understand (the truth is, you are not sold out on your own offer and you don’t understand).
- WORST: If I sell it at a lower price, people will buy! (And I am sorry, that’s the brain’s BS – that’s all).
And TBH, all of these are actually loopholes in the process of your thinking. How you think about your offer is exactly how you will sell. Or Not Sell for that matter.
The more simplified your offer is, the less time it takes your client to decide.
For example, I was telling a coaching student yesterday; they were struggling with what I call offer-hostility in their brain.
And I said,
“You are excellent in Childhood Trauma work via Regression. Stick to it. Make no exceptions. Take 4 clients for the next 3 months. Charge Rs 60,000 flat to each of them (3months = 12 sessions). That way you’ve made Rs.2.5 Lakh in less than a single month.”
Can it get simpler than that? No.
Initially it was a bit difficult for her to believe if this is a ‘workable model.’ And I understand that because all of us come from a toxic hustle culture, simple offer models make us freeze. We immediately go into the impossibility of it.
And that’s why I do the coaching that I do. To question these thoughts and feelings and realize their false power on us.
